Harry Kane Included in England Under-21 Squad for European Championships

Spurs striker Harry Kane will not be allowed a summer to rest after his exploits during the season after being included in Gareth Southgate’s England Under-21 squad for the European Championships.

There are a number of notable omissions from the squad with eligible players such as Raheem Sterling, Luke Shaw and Ross Barkley left out of the squad. There is also no place for Arsenal’s Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain as Southgate has kept faith with the majority of the squad that saw his side qualify comfortably for the championships that will be held in the Czech Republic in June.

Shaw has been left out of the squad through injury but West Brom’s Saido Berahino and Burnley’s Danny Ings are included in the squad and will look to make their mark with possible moves to bigger clubs on the horizon over the summer.
