12-1 shot Trip To Paris won the big race of day three of the Royal Ascot race festival, The Gold Cup. Jockey Graham Lee was the man on-board the surprise winner. The favourite for the race, Forgotten Rules, finished up in third and Ryan Moore finished second on board Kingfisher.

In the first race of the day, The Norfolk Stakes, the combination of trainer Aidan O’Brian and jockey Ryan Moore proved successful once again as Waterloo Bridge emerged victorious. The Tercentenary Stakes was won by Time Test, ridden by Frankie Dettori, who recently won his 50th race at the festival.

Ryan Moore secured yet another win at the festival, this time on-board Curvy in the Ribblesdales Stakes. After Trip To Paris won the Gold Cup, Moore secured his eighth win at the festival so far with 10-1 shot War Envoy in the Britannia Stakes. William Buick won the final race of the day, The King George V Stakes, riding 9-1 shot Space Age to victory.

Out of the six races, only one favourite managed to win, meaning the bookies should have had a good day.
