PDC BetVictor World Matchplay Draw

The draw for the upcoming PDC World Matchplay tournament, held at the iconic Winter Garden’s was made today, as 32 of the top Darts players in the world descend on Blackpool from the 18-26 July.

The draw through up some intriguing clashes with World Number One Michael van Gerwen drawn to face fellow Dutchman Benito van der Pas whilst defending champion Phil Taylor drew Scotland’s John Henderson.

Other key 1st round battles included world Champion Gary Anderson drawn to face Steve Beaton whilst Dutchman Raymond Van Barneveld faces a tricky battle with Andy Hamilton. The tie of the round was hard to split as both Scotland’s Peter Wright was drawn to face the Belgian Kim Huybrechts and ninth seed Ian White was drawn against fellow Englishman and former BDO Champion Stephen Bunting.
