WWE Superstar Hulk Hogan has apologised after the wrestler was sacked from the organisation after claims caught on camera showed him using racial slurs.

The wrestler’s contract has been terminated and his profile removed from the official website.

WWE are yet to confirm the reason for Hogan’s dismissal, but said; “WWE is committed to embracing and celebrating individuals from all backgrounds as demonstrated by the diversity of our employees, performers and fans worldwide.”

The case follows the wrestler’s leaked sex tape in which the superstar is currently involved with a legal battle with Gawker, who reportedly claimed that the wrestler used racial language in an audio recording.

The comments referred to came in audio transcripts seen by RadarOnline.com and The National Enquirer.

Hulk Hogan made his debut in 1977 and is one of the sport’s biggest names.

But the incident has led to Hogan apologising, saying; “It was unacceptable for me to have used that offensive language; there is no excuse for it.”
