Doncaster Rovers manager Paul Dickov has left his position at the Keepmoat Stadium, the club has confirmed.

Rovers currently sit in 17th position in League One, with only one win currently to their name.

Having lost 1-0 away to Gillingham on Saturday, the club have relieved Dickov of his duties and placed Rob Jones in caretaker charge.

A statement on the club’s official website says, “The board are ambitious for a top-six finish and that is, and will remain our aim.”

Dickov took charge of Doncaster in May 2013, having previously been in charge at Oldham Athletic.
