This week see’s the second NFL match at Wembley Stadium and it will see the Buffalo Bills face off against the Jacksonville Jaguars.

The Jets managed to beat the Dolphins 27-14 in the first International Series match of 2015.

This will be the first time that the Bills have played at Wembley in the 8 years that the NFL have had International Series matches. This will be the Jaguars third time at Wembley and they will return next year in the final year of a 4 year deal to play a International Series match. The Jaguars have never won a match at Wembley.

Jacksonville Jaguars

The Jacksonville Jaguars are a team based in Jacksonville,Florida and is owned by Shahid Kahn who also owns the Championship side Fulham F.C. They play in a black and turquoise home Jersey with their away Jersey being white, black and turquoise. They play in the AFC South with the Indianapolis Colts, Houston Texans and the Tennessee Titans and are currently 1-5 this season.

They were formed in 1995 and used to be in the AFC Central before the NFL changed before moving to the AFC South in 2001. Whilst in the AFC Central they won the division twice in 1998&1999. They have been in the playoffs 6 times, with the last being 2007. They have never won the Superbowl or AFC conference.

They have never really stood out as a team, but they have had a few good years around 1996-99 but since then they haven’t done so well and in the last few years they have been one of the low teams. This season, despite their record, they have 1630 passing yards and 13 passing touchdowns. They have the potential to be a great team, but that isn’t showing.

Buffalo Bills

The Buffalo Bills are a team based in Buffalo,New York and was formed in 1960. They play in a blue and white home Jersey with the colours reversed for the away Jersey. They play in the AFC East with New England Patriots, New York Jets and Miami Dolphins and are currently 3-3 this season.

They have won the AFL league Championship twice before it merged into the NFL, and they have won the AFC 4 times. They have appeared in the Superbowl 4 times but haven’t won it as the lost to the Giants, Redskins and the Cowboys twice. They have made 17 playoff appearances and have won the AFL/AFC East 10 times.

The Bills are a good team but with the Jets and the Patriots being 2 big forces in the NFL in the last few years, they have gone quiet in recent years. The last time they were in the playoff’s was in 1999. They had some dominant years in the mid 1960’s and between 1988-99. Since then they have been overshadowed by the Jets and Patriots.

Head to Head

As both teams are in the same conference they do play each other but not many times. They have only met on 12 occasions. The Bills have won 7 of those with the Jaguars winning the other 5 matches. They have met once in the playoff’s in which the Jaguars won.

The Match-up

The Bills have had a good start to the season with a 3-3 record. they have had to face some hard teams who are on good form like the Bengals and the Patriots. These are hard for all teams to play against and they put up a good fight against both. Their defense isn’t the strongest, but is still good and the offence is capable of good things.

The Jaguars aren’t a bad side in offence and have a good passing side. They have managed 1630 yards and 13 touchdowns, but their defense is weak. They could struggle against the Bills who have a strong defense against passing teams. If the Jaguars cant rush the ball then they will struggle this week.

The Bills should win by a clear margin, but if the Jaguars can tighten their defense and find a way around the Bills strong defense whilst passing then they could put up a good fight.
