Claudio Ranieri’s side recovered from last weekend’s defeat to Arsenal with another strong performance to win 2-1 at Carrow Road.

The Tinkerman hadn’t tinkered with the team too much in Leicester’s previous games this season but he made two changes ahead of this match; bringing in Danny Simpson and Christian Fuchs to sure up the defence.

It was a bold call to rest Riyad Mahrez but the decision paid off as the Foxes earned their fourth win of the campaign.

Norwich had an early spell of pressure but Leicester took the lead through Jamie Vardy. He tempted Sebastien Bassong into a tackle in the area and was brought down to earn a penalty, which he himself converted to score his seventh goal of the season.

It was an impressive first half display from the Foxes and they came out after the break on the front foot with Jeffrey Schlupp scoring a second just two minutes after the restart.

The Canaries were threatening in the final third and after a forced changed in the Leicester defence; Simpson having to leave the field due to an injury, they pulled a goal back to put pressure on the Foxes.

Dieumerci Mbokani gave the home side hope after he flicked a Jonny Howson cross into the goal to leave Leicester still in search of a clean sheet.

Despite a nervy last 20 minutes with Nathan Redmond nearly equalising on a couple of occasions, Leicester held on to earn an impressive three points and temporarily move into the top four once again.

Vardy was instrumental in the victory and caused the Norwich defence problems all game. He has now scored in five consecutive Premier League matches and joins the England national team in great form before the Euro 2016 qualifiers against Estonia and Lithuania.

It was important Leicester bounced back after the 5-2 defeat to Arsenal and Ranieri will be pleased with the response.
