As another transfer window approaches, The Sports Lowdown will look at players across the Premier League and Europe that could be making a winter switch, and which clubs are interested.

Premier League and Europe:

  • Manchester United’s Spanish goalkeeper Victor Valdes could well be on his way to Newcastle as a replacement for the injured Tim Krul. (Daily Star)
  • The Red Devils are also reportedly monitoring the situation of Dutch defender Bruno Martins Indi who is valued at around £19 million. (Daily Star)
  • Liverpool and Arsenal will go head-to-head in January to secure the signature of Spanish midfielder Dani Ceballos. (Daily Star)
  • Barcelona have also joined the race along with Chelsea to sign PSG defender Marquinhos who has fallen down the pecking order. (Daily Star)
  • Dynamo Kiev winger Andriy Yarmolenko was watched by Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho sparking news of a move for the 25-year-old. (Independent)
  • Chelsea will also look to offload midfielder John-Obi Mikel in January with Besiktas in pole position to sign the Nigerian.
  • New Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has said he will not be trying to sign any players from his former club Borussia Dortmund. (Bill via Daily Mail)
  • Arsene Wenger has sent Arsenal scouts to watch 19-year-old Dutch midfielder Riechedly Bazoer. (Mirror)
