Wins for the top three meant there were no changes in the title race ahead of the final ten matches.

Friday 3 March

Bordeaux 1-1 Lyon Venue – Nouveaux Stade de Bordeaux

Lyon were held to a draw at Bordeaux but only just salvaged a point later in the second half.

Valentin Vada opened the scoring for the hosts after a quarter of an hour, but Emanuel Mammana scored the equaliser with just over ten minutes remaining.

Four points still separate Lyon in 4th from Bordeaux in 5th place.

Saturday 4 March

Paris Saint-Germain 1-0 Nancy Venue – Parc des Princes

PSG can count their blessings after a late controversial penalty gave them the win over Nancy at the Parc des Princes.

Serge Aurier was adjudged to have been brought down by Sergey Chernik, however the replays appeared to show the Ivorian tumbling before contact was made. Edinson Cavani stepped up to convert the spot-kick.

The defending champions remain 2nd while Nancy’s fifth defeat in six left them 17th.

Bastia 0-0 Saint-Étienne Venue – Stade Armand Cesari

A goalless draw at the Stade Armand Cesari meant Bastia are still battling relegation in 19th, while Saint-Étienne slipped to 7th in the league standings.

Both sides had a man sent off with Nicholas Saint-Ruf being dismissed just before half-time and Fabien Lemoine was given his marching orders just past the hour mark for the visitors.

Les Verts dominated the possession but failed to keep their shots on target.

Caen 2-3 Angers Venue – Stade Michel d’Ornano

A five goal thriller between Caen and Angers saw the visitors claim all three points at the Stade Michel d’Ornano.

Angers took the lead after five minutes through Karl Toko Ekambi, but Caen were on level terms six minutes later with a goal from Ronny Rodelin. A Cheikh Ndoye strike and a Thomas Mangani then gave the visitors a two-goal cushion, while Ivan Santini added a consolation goal for Caen.

Angers’ fourth straight victory took them to 10th in the table, leaving Caen in 14th.

Dijon 0-1 Nice Venue – Stade Gaston Gérard

Nice continued to stay in touch with the league leaders as the hold firm in 3rd, with a win at Dijon whose third consecutive defeat kept them 18th in the league standings.

The winner came in the 69th-minute with another goal from Wylan Cyprien, ensuring Nice maintained their pressure on Monaco and PSG.

Metz 1-1 Rennes Venue – Stade Saint-Symphorien

Two goals at the end of each half produced very different emotions for Metz and Rennes in a score draw at the Stade Saint-Symphorien.

It looked like the teams would be level at the break, but Cheick Diabate scored in stoppage time to give Metz the lead at the interval. One goal was nearly enough to win the match but a goal in the 90th-minute from Wesley Said earned a point for the visitors.

Rennes remain 8th after fighting back to earn a point, whereas Metz are still down in 15th place.

Montpellier 1-1 Guingamp Venue – Stade de la Mosson

Another 1-1 draw was at the Stade de la Mosson where neither Montpellier nor Guingamp could find the winner.

Steve Mounie’s 50th-minute strike saw Montpellier lead for the majority of the second half, but Guingamp fought back with five minutes of regulation time remaining, thanks to a Jimmy Briand leveller.

Just two points separate Guingamp in 11th from Montpellier in 13th after this result.

Sunday 5 March

Lorient 1-4 Marseille Venue – Stade du Moustoir

Marseille got over last week’s thrashing at home to PSG with an emphatic victory of their own at Lorient.

Goals from Rolando, Dimitri Payet, Florian Thauvin and Morgan Sanson handed Les Olympiens an unassailable lead before the hour. Benjamin Moukandjo scored a consolation goal for the hosts in the 73rd-minute but it was another disappointing outing for Lorient.

Lorient sit six points from safety at the bottom of the league, while Marseille climbed to 6th and now have European football in their sights again.

Toulouse 1-1 Lille Venue – Stadium Municipal

Another poor game for Lille saw them needing a late goal to rescue a point at Toulouse.

Christopher Jullien opened the scoring for the hosts in the 30th-minute and Yassine Benzia’s effort with ten minutes remaining earned a result at the Stadium Municipal.

Six games without defeat left Toulouse 9th in the league table, while are still down in 16th and remain only three points above the drop zone.

Monaco 4-0 Nantes Venue – Stade Louis II

Unstoppable performances are becoming a consistent thing at the Stade Louis II and Monaco showed that once more on Sunday with a simple victory over Nantes.

Two first half goals from the young prodigy Kevin Mbappe and a Valere Germain strike gave the home side a three-goal lead at half-time. Fabinho completed the rout from the spot in the 79th-minute to ensure the league leaders continued their fine form.

Leonardo Jardim’s men still have their three-point lead at the top of the table, while Nantes sit 12th in the league.
