Two London rivals will lock horns on Saturday where Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur will compete for a place in this year’s FA Cup final.

Spurs come into the game off the back of a comprehensive victory over Bournemouth, where they were 4-0 comfortable victors.

Chelsea however, will still be feeling hurt from their performance last week, where they lost 2-0 at Old Trafford and failed to build on their lead in the Premier League.

The gap between the two teams in the league is four points, recently cut down from ten.

The sides have met twice this season. Chelsea picked up all three points at Stamford Bridge with a 2-1 victory and Spurs had Dele Alli to thank after his brace helped them to a 2-0 win at White Hart Lane.

Chelsea have looked edgy in the past few weeks, grinding out results and failing to showcase the flair and determination that was evident while establishing their lead in the table.

Tottenham on the other hand, have been simply incredible. The north London club are on a seven-match winning streak in the league, where have they netted 22 times.

The last time Tottenham won the FA Cup was 1991, where they triumphed 2-1 over Nottingham Forrest after extra time.

Their latest cup success was in 2008, where they lifted the League Cup after a 2-1 victory over Chelsea. Jonathan Woodgate scored the winning goal in extra time.

Since The Lilywhites’ last silverware, Chelsea have one the FA Cup three times, the League Cup once, the UEFA Champions League once, the UEFA Europa League once and the Premier League twice.

Despite no trophy for nine years, Tottenham have been building efficiently for the past few seasons and will be looking to add to their already eight FA Cup titles.

Danny Rose will not make the team after his three month spell out with a knee injury. Although he is back in training, he is expected to sit this one out.

Erik Lamela and Harry Winks remain injured, while Michel Vorm will miss out with a knee problem.

Gary Cahill looks set to miss out with an illness for The Blues. But Chelsea will be welcoming back Marcos Alonso and Thibaut Courtois who missed their trip to Old Trafford on Sunday through injury and illness respectively.

Tottenham have lost each of their last six FA Cup semi-final appearances, while Chelsea have only lost won in their previous five.

The last time these sides met in the FA Cup was the 2012 semi-finals, where Chelsea were comfortable 5-1 winners.
