Andy Moore – CEO & Chief Editor

Andy is the Owner and the Chief Editor of the site and developed the concept of The Sports Lowdown. A Sports Journalist by profession, Andy has covered various sports for numerous print and digital publications and has a passion for all sports and is a self confessed sports statto!

Dale Ventham – Deputy Editor

Dale is the hardest working Sports Journalist around and has covered football for various digital content sites both in the UK and abroad. A talented chef, Dale is the Deputy Editor of the site and takes a keen interest on the football side of the site, particularly the lower leagues. He also writes about speedway for the site too!

Ian Turner – Football Section lead

Ian is a quality sports journalist in training and has covered content both online and in newspapers and will take the lead in the football section. An avid Liverpool fan, he also offers excellent cricket analysis.

Oliver Gull – Darts Section Lead

Oliver is one of our youngest talents at The Sports Lowdown and does a sterling job covering the Darts section writing previews and reviews of all the latest tournaments as well as offering his opinions on the sport.

Ryan Ingham – Cricket Section Lead

Ryan is one of The Sports Lowdown’s all-rounder writers as he covers many different sports from football, tennis and with a keen focus on cricket too. A confident writer who can write quality informative articles and is a big asset.

Ryan Caunt – Golf Section Lead

Ryan is another of The Sport Lowdown’s writers who covers a wide variety of sports including football, cricket, tennis and golf and offers both factual news and high quality opinionated articles.

Darran Dean

Darran is one of our resident football writers covering the sport as a whole but also writing about his beloved Leicester City. Darran has become our resident Women’s football writer and also turns his hand to writing about speedway too.

Dan Culyer

Another one of our younger writers who is destined for good things in his writing career in the future, Dan has a particular interest in football and loves to go in-depth when writing about the beautiful game.

Nathan Rodrigues

Nathan is our resident tennis writer and covers all of the major tournaments as well as many of the ATP and WTA tour tournaments and offers informative opinions on the world of tennis.

Chris Jones

Chris is an aspiring journalist looking to follow in his dad’s footsteps and is due to embark on his first year studying sports journalism in 2015. He is a fan in particular of football and writes crisp, sharp content.

Mark Sheppard

Mark is another of our Leicester City fans and can be found offering quality content on the Foxes. He has also been known to dabble in a bit of snooker coverage too writing informed articles about the green baize.

Ethan Gore

Ethan has come highly recommended from one of our other writers and covers the sport of football for The Sports Lowdown offering impressive content on the game, both factual and opinionated.

Matt Birkenshaw

Matt offers exciting and opinionated content on both football and tennis and is another of our youngsters with a big future ahead of him for The Sports Lowdown and beyond.

Elliott Smith

Elliott is one of our newest writers and will be taking a keen interest in the football side of the site with some NFL added in too. A keen Nottingham Forest fan who writes quality informed content.
