Three Elite League meetings take place this Bank Holiday Monday, but which teams will race away with the points?

Coventry v King’s Lynn

Elite League leaders, Coventry Bees, take on the King’s Lynn Stars in a top-of-the-table clash at the Brandon Stadium.

Coventry captain Chris Harris is unavailable due to racing in the Grand Prix qualifier in Germany this afternoon, so Bees’ boss Gary Havelock has called upon former Bee and Belles Vue Aces captain Scott Nicholls to stand in, as they looked to continue their fine form this season.

Visitors, King’s Lynn Stars, continue to be led by Grand Prix Superstar, Niels-Kristian Iversen, fellow Dane Kenneth Bjerre and 17 year old Robert Lambert, who continues to impress in only his second Elite League season. However, former Bee captain Rory Schlein will not feature as he undergone spinal surgery after he was involved in an accident in Heat 1 of Lodz v Daugavpils fixture in Poland, and a replacement rider is needed.

The Stars’ will also be without Lewis Kerr, as hip injury continues to plague him, so former Coventry Bees rider and British Championship Finalist, Adam Roynon, guests in his place.

Grzegorz Zengota replaces fellow Pole Grzegorz Walasek due to the Grand Prix qualifier, and there could be a debut for Lewis Bridger, but the Lions have to find a replacement for the injured Josh Auty and recent Edinburgh Monarchs’ signing Sam Masters, who may be unavailable until Wednesday.
