Manchester United look set to loan out the highly-rated James Wilson with a number of Championship sides keen to snap up the striker.

Red Devil’s manager Louis van Gaal is looking to send the 19 year old for more first team football action in preparation for what could be a successful career at Old Trafford. The striker has played 18 competitive games for United, scoring four goals in the process.

There had been talk of Wilson featuring for the club more prominently this term but van Gaal is keen to see him get prolong action starting rather than coming off the bench and sides such as Bolton Wanderers and Derby County have been heavily linked with a loan move for Wilson.

Lennon told BBC Radio Manchester “I think Manchester United have said there’s half a dozen clubs in for him and I could understand that. There would be an interest there, no question.”

Should Wilson make the move to a Championship side, Manchester United are keen for their to be a return clause in the contract allowing the Red Devils to call the striker back if needed.
