Premier League Preview – 12/13/14 September

West Brom V Southampton, 15:00, the Hawthorns.

Saints travel to the midlands on Saturday to try and record their first away win of the season, a point currently separates these two in the table. Saido Berahino could feature for the Baggies since threating to go on strike, Johnny Evans and Anders Lindegaard could make their debuts for West brom. Southampton will be missing, Jordy Claise and Ryan Bertrand for the trip while Virgil van Dijk could make his debut. Southampton have failed to win away from home in their last nine attempts.

Manchester United V Liverpool, 17:30, Old Trafford.

United host Liverpool in the highly anticipated Saturday evening kick off. Both teams are coming into this game on the back of defeat by West Ham and Swansea City, respectively. After signing a new contract extension David De Gea is expected to make his first appearance of the season for the Red Devils, meanwhile Phil Jones and Andreas Pereira are doubts. Philippe Coutinho, Jordan Henderson, Adam Lallana and Daniel Sturridge miss the tip to Old Trafford. Christian Benteke has scored in his previous two matches against Manchester United.

Sunderland V Tottenham, 13:30, Stadium of Light.

Tottenham travel up north in search for their first win of the season. A stuttering start from Spurs currently see them in 16th place with only three points on the board. Sunderland are sitting rock bottom and are desperate for a win too. Adam Johnson, Adam Matthews and Jordi Gomez miss out for the Black Cats while Christian Eriksen and Mousa Dembele miss out for the visitors. Sunderland have gone ten premier league games without a win against Tottenham. (D3 L7)

Leicester City V Aston Villa, 16:00, the King Power Stadium.

High flying Leicester City entertain midtable Aston Villa in the late Sunday afternoon kick off. Villa will be looking to record their second win of the season while Leicester will be hoping to keep their unbeaten record intact. No injury news for Leicester while Villa will be missing Adam Traore. Jack Grealish and Idrissa Gueye are doubts for the away side.

West Ham V Newcastle United, 20:00, Upton Park.

The last game of the weekend will see the Hammers entertain Newcastle. The visitors are currently sitting second bottom in the league and West ham are 8th with six points so far. Enner Valencia, Joey O’Brien and Alex Song are expected to miss the match through injury. Aleksandar Mitrovic will be the only player missing for Newcastle, through suspension. West ham have only beat Newcastle once in their last five attempts. (D2 L2)
