The Paris attacks which took place on 13th November saw 130 people die in multiple attacks across the capital. The attacks also included suicide bombs which were set off outside the Stade de France where France were playing Germany.

Along with the initial order of no away fans being permitted inside the stadium for Ligue 1 and 2 matches, a further was announced via a French League statement applying the same provisions to all top football games in the country until at least the final round of Europa League group-stage matches on 10 December.

The extended ban comes following the Interior Ministry having a “lack of police forces available” due to the current state of emergency. In addition to this, extra force will also be required when the United Nations climate summit is held in Paris from the 30th November until 11th December.
