Amidst speculation that Manchester United goalkeeper David De Gea could be leaving in the summer, his manager Louis van Gaal insists that the Spaniard won’t be leaving Old Trafford.
Spanish giants Real Madrid have been heavily linked with a move for the 24 year old, who signed from rivals Atletico in 2011.
But De Gea still has one year remaining on his current contract with the Red Devil’s, and manager van Gaal expects him to stay until his contract expires.
De Gea has been in impeccable form since his arrival in Manchester, and despite a shaky start as his United career began, he has fully established himself as the club’s number one goalkeeper.
Following an injury during United’s last game at home to Arsenal, De Gea waved ‘goodbye’ to the fans as he left the field for treatment, but van Gaal insists that there is no need to look into that situation any further.
