Dutchman Michael Van Praag has pulled out of the race to secure the Fifa presidency race which leaves two to rival current incumbent Sepp Blatter in the end of May election.
Van Praag has thrown his support behind Jordanian candidate Prince Ali Bin Al-Hussein who will battle it out with both Blatter and former Portuguese star Luis Figo on the 29th May as they look to replace the controversial Swiss president who is seeking a fifth term in office.
With reform and change at the top of the agenda, Blatter is still expected to win the election with two-thirds of the vote needed to secure the presidency in the first round with all 209 Fifa nations having a vote with Blatter expected to receive support from a large number of the non-European international federations.
If the first round does not see a two-thirds majority, a second round majority will see the candidate secure the presidency. Van Praag had secured the vote of the Scottish FA and it remains to be seen who they will now choose to support in the election. The vote will be held at the Fifa Annual Congress in Zurich.
