If Andy Murray is to win his first French Open crown he will have to do it the hard way after being drawn in the same half of the draw as 9-time winner Rafael Nadal as well as world number one and heavy favourite Novak Djokovic.
Recently married Murray has been in decent form in 2015 and will arguably go in as second favourite behind Djokovic after triumphing at the Madrid Masters at the beginning of May but he has been given a horrendous draw though he will face a qualifier in the first round.
Murray could face fellow Englishman Kyle Edmund who is through to the final qualifying round at Roland Garros whilst the recently British qualified Aljaz Bedene has drawn Austrain Dominic Thiem in the first round.
In the women’s draw, Haether Watson has been drawn against Mathilde Johansson as she looks to improve her form after struggling in recent weeks to recapture her early season form.
