Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers insists that Raheem Sterling will remain at Liverpool until his contract expires in 2017.
There has been a lot of speculation surrounding the 20 year old in recent weeks, with reports suggesting the winger is asking for ‘too much’ money on an improved contract.
But there are once again implications with Sterling’s agent, Aidy Ward, who reportedly said that the England international will not sign a new deal even if offered ‘£900,000 a week’.
Liverpool cancelled a meeting with the winger due to the comments by the agent, but manager Rodgers insists that he is not leaving.
“Raheem has two years left on his deal and I expect him to see that two years through.” Rodgers said.
“I don’t see Raheem being unhappy. Raheem’s representative made it very clear that he wanted to speak at the end of the season.”
Sterling has already rejected an improved offer on his current contract, and it’s unsure whether or not he will be at Anfield next season.
