Tonight, the Third Round of the Speedway Grand Prix takes place in Prague, where current championship leader Tai Woffinden has won in two consecutive campaigns.
He leads the way on 22 points after the first two rounds, three points ahead of Denmark’s Nicki Pedersen and four infront of Poland’s Jaroslaw Hampel.
Matej Zagar, Andreas Jonsson, Jason Doyle and Michael Jepsen Jensen are all on 15 points, with American Greg Hancock just one point behind.
Zagar has began this championship in a positive mood, winning the final of the opening round in Warsaw. Woffinden and Pedersen both had a disappointing time in Poland, with the Brit making just five points, and Pedersen recording three.
But the front-runner’s were more successful in the second round in Tampere, Finland, with both making it to an entertaining final. Pedersen won the final, with Woffinden second, but the 2013 world champion won more races on the night, giving him 17 points to Pedersen’s 16.
Zagar, the winner in Poland, picked up seven points, whilst Poland’s Jaroslaw Hampel is one point behind Pedersen having reached two successive finals.
It should be an exciting night of Speedway, and will Tai Woffinden claim his third successive win in the Czech Republic?
