With Southampton’s extraordinary success and potential qualification for European football depending on Saturday’s FA Cup final result, it is definitely a rumour worth taking heed of.
One thing’s for certain QPR are going to struggle immensely to keep a hold of him; a striker of his class and goal scoring ability certainly deserves a spot in the Barclays Premier League. Austin’s call up to the England squad this week will only improve his reputation and who knows, a successful England career and another season like the last will see Austin playing for one of the big four in the coming seasons, a sight I’m sure all England fans would love to see.
