Out of contract Manchester City midfielder James Milner is reportedly interesting Arsene Wenger’s Arsenal and Brendan Rodgers’ Liverpool side.
The versatile England midfielder is thought to be looking to exit the Etihad Stadium to get more first team football and a move to one of England’s other Premier sides could be the logical step for Milner.
With Manchester City also keen to keep Milner, an improved contract offer is likely but the lure of regular football could be the key to Milner moving on.
Arsenal have the advantage over Liverpool of offering Champions League football next season which is likely to appeal to the former Aston Villa midfielder, but a move to Anfield is also likely to appeal with under pressure boss Rodgers hoping to add experience to his side ahead of another tilt at securing European football next season.
The 29 year old, who has made over 50 appearances for England, signed for City in 2010 after a three year spell with Aston Villa.
Whatever the England midfielder decides, he is bound to be playing at a top English club next season whatever the outcome.
