FRANCE 3 KOREA REP. 0

The French raced into a two goal lead within eight minutes of the first half after an excellent combination between midfielder Camile Abily and left-back Laure Bolleau found forward, Marie Laure Delie, who opened the scoring.

Moments later, midfielder Elodie Thomis and forward Eugenie Le Sommer played a similar move that led to Delie’s goal and Thomis fired past Kim Jungmi in the Korean goal to make it 2-0.

Both Delie and Le Sommer could have furthered France’s lead but for good saves by Jungmi and near misses.

However, just after the restart, Le Sommer, with some brilliant individual play sealed victory for Les Bleues after beating three Korean defenders before finding Delie, who finished with ease.
