The 2017 Lions itinerary has been announced for 2 summer’s time, and what a challenge it is going to be (as if we did not already know this).
The Lions have not beaten New Zealand in a test series since 1971, and on the last tour were whitewashed in 2005, 3-0 on the infamous led Sir Clive Woodward tour.
Lions play at Eden Park 3 times in total, and play all the New Zealand Super Rugby provinces. 10 matches in total, 6 matches prior to the first test.
2017 British and Irish Lions tour fixtures:
June 3rd – Provincial Union team (Toll Stadium, Whangarei)
June 7 – Auckland Blues (Eden Park, Auckland)
June 10 – Canterbury Crusaders (AMI Stadium, Christchurch)
June 13 – Otago Highlanders (Forsyth Barr Stadium, Dunedin)
June 17 – NZ Maori (International Stadium, Rotorua)
June 20 – Waikato Chiefs (Waikato Stadium, Hamilton)
JUNE 24 – NEW ZEALAND 1ST TEST (EDEN PARK, AUCKLAND)
June 27 – Wellington Hurricanes (Westpac Stadium, Wellington)
JULY 1 – NEW ZEALAND 2ND TEST (WESTPAC STADIUM, WELLINGTON)
JULY 8 – NEW ZEALAND 3RD TEST (EDEN PARK, AUCKLAND)
All I can say is best of luck lads!
