Wigan
It seemed like only yesterday that the DW Stadium was hosting Premier League football, and to be honest, it wasn’t that long ago since big teams such as Manchester United, Chelsea and Arsenal were visitors to Wigan, until their eight-year Premier League stay was ended with relegation in 2013.
The club have been on a downwards curve ever since their relegation to the Championship, and their relegation to League One has only continued this trend, and they will be looking to make an immediate return to English football’s second tier, possibly as Champions, should they bring in some good signings over the summer, they certainly have a chance of claiming the League One title.
Wigan have already signed a couple of players this summer window from West Brom, and the club will equally be looking to offload a few, and in fact already have. Under the management of Gary Caldwell, fans should be confident of Caldwell guiding them straight back to the Championship.
