4. Benito van de Pas – Age 22
The young Dutchman has already had a stellar career in darts, playing at Lakeside in three consecutive World Championships and winning floor tournaments on the BDO circuit including the German Open in 2011.
Van de Pas made the move over to the PDC after experiencing the structure of the tournaments when he played in the PDC Youth Tour whilst still a member of the BDO and since his move, he has continued to grow in confidence and pundits have earmarked him as a rising star in the game.
Since his move to the PDC, he won his place on the main tour by winning a PDC Tour Card at Qualifying School in 2014 and he has not looked back, rising up the ranking and currently sitting inside the worlds top 32 and qualifying for many of the PDC TV Major tournaments.
He made his PDC World Championship breakthrough in 2015 reaching the last 16 of the tournament which included impressive wins over Paul Nicholson and Dave Chisnall before he lost to Robert Thornton. He also went on to make his World Matchplay debut in 2015 but was dumped out in the first round by world number one Michael van Gerwen but he remains on course to qualify for the TV majors and he will only grow in confidence and looks to have the natural ability to one day be a world champion.
