Jack Wilshere will miss England’s European Championship qualifiers to San Marino and Switzerland according to Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger.
Midfielder Wilshere has been out since the start of the season after being injured before the Community Shield victory over Chelsea with a hairline fracture of his right ankle. Wilshere has been beset by injuries throughout his career, with particular worries over his ankle which has been a constant source of concern for the 23 year old.
The midfielder played a big part in the victory over Slovenia in June, scoring his first two goals in England colours but though he is back in training at his club side, manager Wenger said ” It is too early to think he would be playing for England, but after the international break he has a chance.”
England will want to have Wilshere back to his best as the build up to Euro 2016 will soon be upon the squad, with qualification likely to be secured in September’s matches.
