Manchester City received a blow ahead of their opening Champions League game against Juventus with Sergio Aguero ruled out with a knee injury.
The Argentine striker was hurt in Manchester City’s win over Crystal Palace at the weekend and will miss the clash at the Etihad Stadium on Tuesday night with manager Manuel Pellegrini hoping he will be fit for the weekend’s clash with West Ham United.
There was better news on the injury front however as both Raheem Sterling (Hamstring) and David Silva (Ankle) will be available after recovering from injury as they look to make an impact on the Champions League which has so far over the last few seasons, eluded the club.
Juventus go into the game with contrasting fortunes with their opponents as they have struggled in their opening three fixtures in Serie A, picking up just a single point, whilst City have been imperious taking a maximum, 15 points from their opening 5 games.
