West Ham United 2-2 Norwich City.

Norwich and West Ham played out a tight game Saturday when they took a point each. Robbie Brady and Nathan Redmond scored for the visitors while Diafra Sakho and Cheikhou Kouyate scored for the Hammers. Brady got the Canneries off to a perfect start, converting past Adrian in the 9th minute. West Ham were back on level terms in the 33rd minute, Sakho meeting Dimitri Payet’s cross. Redmond thought that he had won the game for his team when he converted in the 83rd minute, but Norwich would not quite hold on as they conceded in the 93rd minute thanks to a goal mouth scramble that was poked home by Kouyate.

Southampton 3-1 Swansea City.

Southampton put last week’s loss to United behind them with an impressive display at home to Swansea. Goals from Virjil Van Djik, Sadio Mane and Dusan Tadic were enough to brush off Swansea. Mane had a very good chance early on but could only see his effort crawl agonisingly wide of the target. Van Djik put Southampton ahead in the 11th minute when he rose well and met James Ward Prowse’s corner. Tadic had doubled their lead in the 54th minute, his clever chip saw the back of the net. Mane completed the scoring for the Saints in the 61st minute when he kept his cool to slot home from the edge of the box. Swansea did get a consolation goal, Neil Taylor was fouled in the box and Glyfi Sigurosson stepped up to convert the penalty.

Stoke City 2-1 Bournemouth.

The Potters took all three points from this encounter thanks to goals from Jonathan Walters and Mame Diouf. Bad news for Bournemouth fans, Callum Wilson picked up an injury and was stretchered off the pitch in the early stages of the match. Walters opened up the scoring in the 32nd minute, he poked home from close range. Bournemouth were level in the 76th minute, the ball fell nicely to Dan Gosling to blast home and level the encounter, five minutes later and Stoke saw themselves in the lead again. Glenn Johnson’s incredible cross was met by Diouf to head home and give Stoke all three points.

Watford 0-1 Crystal Palace.

A Yohan Cabaye penalty was enough to give Palace all three points and inflict defeat onto Watford who were on a two match winning streak. Troy Deeney could not control his header early on which should have really been converted. Dwight Gayle hit the bar in the second half for the visitors and the afternoon looked to be heading for a goalless draw. That was until Wilfried Zaha was tripped inside the box and a penalty was awarded to Palace. Cabaye stepped up, kept his cool, and put Palace in the lead.

West Brom 2-3 Everton.

West Brom saw a two goal advantage go to waste as they went down 2-3 losers in this exciting Monday night football clash. Saido Berahino got the only goal from the first half, Craig Dawson doubling the hosts lead in the 54th minute. Romelu Lukaku got his first in the 55th minute and sparked the comeback. Arouna Kone equalized in the 75th minute and Lukaku got his second, and Everton’s third in the 84th to take all three points back to Merseyside with them.
