Graham in action for England under 17’s
Oxford United have snapped up Wolves winger Jordan Graham on a one month loan, the club have confirmed.
The 20 year old began his career at Premier League outfit Aston Villa, before spending loan spells at Ipswich Town and Bradford City. The winger moved to Wolves on a permanent basis in January after a successful loan spell with the Championship club.
And despite not making an appearance for Wolves since making his switch permanent, manager Kenny Jacket said prior to his departure; “He’ll either come under first team consideration very quickly now or he’ll go out on loan and get some experience to be able to work his journey into our first team.”
Graham has also represented both the Republic of Ireland and England at youth level, turning out for the Republic at Under 15 before featuring for England at Under 16 and 17.
Oxford head coach Michael Appleton said; “He is a very talented player who I have known for a while. He played in the same age level as Kemar Roofe and always caught the eye. We have been monitoring his progress for the last few months, including a recent under 21 game where he was outstanding.
“We have a lot of games coming up, five in fifteen days, and I feel that Jordan can freshen things up, be a threat going forwards, and hopefully make a real impact for us.”
Speaking on his move, Graham said; “I can’t wait to get started. I have been made to feel very welcome and the side has done well so far this season so it feels like a very positive club to come to.
“League 2 is very tight this season and the games are always very competitive so I am really looking forward to the experience.”
Graham will be in the Oxford squad that travel to York for tonight’s League Two clash, their first of five games in fifteen days, and is likely to be involved when the U’s travel to Accrington at the weekend.
