Chelsea defender Kurt Zouma is rumoured to be a target for Italian Serie A side Fiorentina and are hoping to persuade the youngster to depart Stamford Bridge with the lure of regular first team football.
The France international is earning a growing reputation at Stamford Bridge but still finds himself in rotation with fellow Blues defenders Gary Cahill and John Terry for first team action and the Italian side are looking to appease the growing concern amongst their fans over a lack of transfer activity.
With the transfer window now shut, any move for Zouma would come in January but with Chelsea, likely to be reluctant to sell, a loan move in the first instance could open the door for Fiorentina to persuade Chelsea to depart with their defender permanently down the line.
Zouma joined Chelsea in 2014 from French Ligue 1 side St Etienne and has made 30 appearances for Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho as well as making his debut for the senior France national team in March.
