Although Arsenal have the joint best defensive record in the league with Tottenham, they will face a tough test against Belgian striker Romelu Lukaku. The strength and pace Lukaku possesses is frightening, and when up against a defender who lacks pace he is almost unstoppable. Per Mertesacker will most certainly be targeted by the Belgian and could be Everton’s best chance of being successful in this game.
Arsenal are the unsurprising favourites to win this game, and if they are able to replicate their recent performances they should find themselves sitting top of the league come Saturday night.
Predicted starting line ups:
Arsenal:
Cech, Bellerin, Mertesacker, Koscienly, Monreal, Coquelin, Cazorla, Chamberlain, Ozil, Alexis, Walcott
Everton:
Howard, Coleman, Stones, Jagielka, Galloway, Barry, McCarthy, Lennon, Barkley, Naismith, Lukaku
