Manchester United picked up their first three points of their 2015 Champions League campaign last night with a 2-1 over VfL Wolfsburg.
Despite a worrying start, falling behind within the first five minutes, United responded through a Juan Mata penalty before a unique winner from Chris Smalling sealed the win.
Michael Clayton takes a look at the top five talking points from the game;

Chris Smalling last night demonstrated once again why United fans hold him in such high regard this season with another towering display. He is looking confident, comfortable on the ball and commanding at the back.
He may not be the most vocal leaders United have ever had, but he is demonstrating a more subtle leadership which is benefitting United tremendously and is being widely recognised.
