PDC European Grand Prix: Tournament Preview

The PDC European Tour 2015 will draw to a close this weekend, and the tour will conclude in Sindelfingen in Germany. We have already seen eight high-quality events in the tour this year, and the final event will more than likely follow suit with a whole host of world class players on show in Germany.

World number one Michael van Gerwen will be the number one seed and leads the seeded players that will enter in the second round stage. Michael Smith’s impressive ProTour performances have earnt him a number two seed, James Wade and Peter Wright complete the top four seeds.

Ian White had a very promising run at the World Grand Prix in Dublin and will be the number five seed. An in-form and newly-crowned World Grand Prix Champion Robert Thornton will take his place as the number six seed.

There is some great talent that lies in the unseeded players, take Premier League star Stephen Bunting, Steve Beaton, Gerwyn Price, Jamie Caven, Mark Webster and Alan Norris as great examples, who can all trouble the seeded men.

Not only will the winner claim the £25,000 top prize in Germany, but he will also earn a provisional place at the Grand Slam at Wolverhampton in November.
