The Arsenal legend who has been working behind the scenes at Manchester City has just been appointed as head coach of New York City FC, and is an apparent managerial target for the Gunners. Vieira was hugely successful in his time at Arsenal and was apart of the famous Invincible side that went a whole Premier League campaign unbeaten.
The Frenchman was well known for his aggressive style and could be a smart appointment if he introduces this aggressive style to this current squad. Something that is clearly lacking in a lot of Arsenal’s current stars. Although Vieira lacks managerial experience, his time with Manchester City’s youth academy would have taught him a lot in regards to developing players, and his spell at New York City will give him a taste of what it takes to be a manager. Could Vieira be the man to replace his former boss?
