Callum Smith stopped Rocky Fielding in the first round of their fight to determine the British Super-Middleweight champion.
The fight was expected to be tight but Smith proved too much for his opponent and the referee was forced to intervene and end the fight after less than 30 seconds.
Smith has now won all eighteen of his fights as a professional and is being tipped to become yet another British World Champion in the future. The 25-year-old has achieved 13 of his 18 wins through knock out and is showing sign he could become one of the best in his division.
For 28-year-old Fielding the big fight ended in disappointment and he lost his fight first at the 22nd time of asking. However, Fielding is young enough to come back from this defeat and will be hoping that his performance doesn’t hamper his chances of securing another big fight in the future.
Due to the emphatic result, it is unlikely an immediate rematch will take place. However, if Smith continues to show his class and Fielding bounces back from this defeat, its possible that these two could meet each other again in a bigger fight in the future.
