Gloucester and Sale kicked off week six of the Aviva Premiership. Gloucester came out on top with a 23-19, with England hopefuls Billy Twelvetrees and Danny Cipriani both scoring points for their respective sides.
Exeter continued their impressive start to the season with a 47-21 victory over London Wasps. Exeter are now the leading point scorers in the competition, having scored 182 points in their six games so far this season. Northampton overcame Bath in a closely fought encounter, with the away side coming away 13-11 winners. Northampton are now up to fifth in the table, while Bath remains in ninth, with just two wins to their name this season.
London Irish’s miserable start to the season as the suffered a 38-7 defeat at the hands of Harlequins. Harlequins ran in five tries as Tim Visser helped himself to a hat-trick. Leicester overcame Worcester in a close match. The Tigers won the game 29-20 and have now moved up to third in the table while Worcester remain in tenth.
The final match of the weekend saw league leaders Saracens maintain their 100% start to the season with a 38-3 win over Newcastle, who are still looking for their first victory.
