Team GB have seen their men’s Rugby sevens top Group C after a 21-19 victory over New Zealand to progress to the quarter finals.
Despite leading 21-0 at half time, the All Blacks responded magnificently with three second half tries, but couldn’t take the lead.
After a comfortable 31-7 victory over Kenya in the opening match, Team GB then recorded back to back victories with a 21-19 victory over Japan in their second game.
Following their win over the All Blacks, Team GB will now face Argentina, who finished 2nd in group A behind Fiji, in the quarter finals.
The All Blacks were in danger of going out, but managed to qualify after Fjij beat USA by 24-19 – New Zealands opponents in the quarter finals.
The other quarter-finals will see Japan take on France and South Africa play Australia.
Team GB’s men will be hoping to better the performance of the womens side, who reached the semi finals but failed to win a medal after defeat in their third placed playoff against Canada.
