Marseille winger Andre Ayew will leave the club in the summer, and many clubs around Europe are desperate for the Ghanaian internationals signature.

Available on a free transfer, Ayew posses bags of European experience, despite being just 25, having played in the Champions League for Marseille. The winger, who can also play up front, has also made 62 appearances for Ghana.

At 25, Ayew clearly feels that now is the right time to move. He has always expressed an interest to play in England, in particular for Liverpool, who he supported as a youngster.

The Sports Lowdown takes a look at some of the club’s that are interested in signing one of Ligue 1’s strongest players.

Swansea City

After guiding Swansea to their highest top flight finish, it appears that Garry Monk is in pole position to sign the forward, with reports suggesting that he has completed a medical with the Welsh club earlier today.

Since the departure of top scorer Wilfried Bony to Manchester City, the Swans have struggled for a consistent goalscorer, and Ayew, who has scored 52 goals in his time in Ligue 1, scored ten this season as Marseille came runners up behind PSG.

Roma

Talksport are reporting that the 25 year old has his heart set on a move to Roma.

Having already rejected a new contract from Marseille, it appears that the Italian club may be able to entice the Ghanaian away from a move to the Premier League.

However, the club still haven’t submitted an offer, and are awaiting the outcome of Radja Nainggolan, who is linked with a move to Manchester United.

The move would free up the wages needed for Ayew to move, and the temptation of Champions League football following the clubs 2nd placed finish in Serie A could sway the 25 year old.

West Ham

New West Ham manager Slaven Bilic has wasted no time announcing the players he’d like to bring to Upton Park.

The Hammers head coach has expressed interest in Sampdoria star Pedro Obiang, as well as the Marseille pair of Andre Ayew and Andre-Pierre Gignac.

If the London club to manage to tempt the Marseille top scorer Gignac away from the Stade Vélodrome, it could help cement a move for teammate Ayew too.

But Gignac, who scored 21 goals for Marseille last season, is also in demand. It has been reported that leaving Ayew with the choice of a £70,000 a week offer that the Hammers have reportedly submitted.

Liverpool, Tottenham and Arsenal

Three other Premier League club’s that have expressed interest in the 25 year old include Liverpool, Tottenham and Arsenal.

Ayew has said that he’d like to play in England, but with offers reportedly already on the table from two mid-table sides, it depends where.

Liverpool and Tottenham can offer something more than Swansea and West Ham. Both have qualified for next season’s Europa League. Also, neither side, with the exception of Tottenham’s Harry Kane, have been too prolific in front of goal this season, so the arrival of Ayew could help on that front. Given his recent goalscoring record for Marseille, you would feel that Ayew could comfortably slot into either of these two sides.

But the same can’t be said for Arsenal. Like Roma, the Gunners can offer the Ghanaian Champions League football next season, but where would Ayew feature in a side that includes the likes of Alexis Sanchez, Theo Walcott, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and the possible arrival of Raheem Sterling?
