Transfer Deadline Day so far

With just over 6 hours until the transfer window shuts for the winter, clubs across the country are looking to tie up their squads for the run up to the Christmas period and here we round up some of the deals from each league.

The deals began early yesterday with Fabio Borini sealing a £10 million move to Sunderland and the European window closing with deals such as Javier Hernandez and Adnan Januzaj making their departures from Manchester United to Bayer Leverkusen and Borussia Dortmund respectively.

Premier League

Victor Moses has signed for West Ham United on a season long loan deal but also, has signed a new four year contract with Chelsea. The Nigerian international winger has been a regular on the loan market since joining the Blues in 2012 from Wigan, having spent time at both Liverpool and Stoke City.

West Ham have been busy confirming the signing of former Arsenal midfielder Alex Song on loan from Barcelona for the second successive season. The 27 year old spent 6 years at Arsenal before a big money move to Barcelona. However the Cameroonian failed to set La Liga on fore and struggled to establish himself in the Catalan side and moved out on loan to West Ham last season and has returned for another spell with the Hammers.

Everton have boosted their defensive ranks with the signing of River Plate’s Ramiro Funes Mori who has been awaiting a work permit for the Toffee’s. The fee is believed to be around the £9.5 million mark for the Argentinian who has just made his debut for the national side.

Nikica Jelevic is back in the Premier League with Slaven Bilic making his third signing of the day for West Ham The striker has joined for a £3 million fee from Hull City after their relegation from the Premier League last season. The former Everton striker will add much needed firepower at the Hammers

Championship/League One/League Two

Wolves have clinched the signing of Swindon Town’s Nathan Byrne on a three year deal for an undisclosed fee.

Adam Drury has left Manchester City on a free transfer to sign for Bristol Rovers

Former Leicester City trainee Luke O’Neill has left Burnley on a free transfer to join Phil Brown’s Southend United.

Newcastle United’s Shane Ferguson has extended his loan deal at Millwall until January.
