Jules Bianchi’s father Philippe says his family are “Hoping for a Miracle” as the French driver remains in a coma after a crash at the Japanese Grand Prix in October.
The French driver has been in the coma since the crash with little sign of improvement but Philippe to French TV Station Canal+ “In neurological terms, I’m not sure he is able to do much now. The situation is stagnant. Jules’ neurological progress is not what we would like it to be.”
This week the Formula One season enters into the Principality of Monaco and Bianchi will be in the thoughts of his old team that were reformed over the winter break after Marussia went into administration before re-emerging as Manor.
Members of the team will be wearing red wristbands with ‘JB17′ on them, as thoughts turn to the stricken Frenchman who will be around 15 miles from the race in a Nice hospital.
