Bubba Watson
Despite being one of golf’s biggest names, Watson has never made an impact in the US Open. His best finish is tied 32nd and the world number four will be keen to better that record. Bubba is one of golf’s biggest characters, and has established himself as one of the best players in the game in recent years, winning two Masters Titles. Although Watson hasn’t missed a cut all year, he is still awaiting his first tournament win of the season, and Watson will be hoping he can break at his duck at Chambers Bay.
Dustin Johnson
Since the 2014 personal problems that caused Johnson to miss the Ryder Cup, the powerful right-hander has been on the cusp of winning his first major title and finished a credible 6th at the Masters. Though he withdrew from the recent St Jude classic through illness, he will go into the US Open looking to make that next breakthrough and earn a major that his talent deserves. His driving will be a key component of his game and if he gets that right, he has the short game to win.
