Manchester City have increased their offer for Liverpool and England winger Raheem Sterling to £35.5 Million with the Etihad Stadium side looking to get first refusal for the unsettled youngster.
Reports suggest Liverpool will again reject the offer for Sterling with the Anfield side not looking to sell one of their most prized possessions though if Sterling is adamant that he wants to leave Liverpool, he may have to force through a transfer by putting in a request.
With Liverpool having offered over £100k a week to the dazzling winger, reports have suggested he is unhappy with this contract offer and his performances notably dipped in the latter half of the season but with Brendan Rodgers under increasing pressure to keep his job, he won’t want to sell his star player to one of his Premier League rivals with Chelsea also reported to be monitoring the situation closely.
Sterling has been criticised in the media for apparent greed at turning down the wage offered by Liverpool and both him and his agent are mindful that they could possibly earn more elsewhere but Liverpool will not sell Sterling on the cheap and it is likely to be a massive transfer price for anyone both in the Premier League or abroad that could entice the club to sell.
