BetVictor PDC World Matchplay Qualification Equation Ahead Of Cut-Off This Weekend

The cut-off for qualification for the Betvictor PDC World Matchplay follows the Players Championship events in Wigan this weekend, and a few players will be playing for a place in Blackpool on Saturday and Sunday.

Like all ProTour events, the tournaments will be played behind closed doors and the world’s top sixteen in the PDC Order Of Merit along with the top sixteen of the ProTour Order Of Merit will qualify for the Matchplay.

However, many players in the ProTour top sixteen also appear in the PDC Order Of Merit top sixteen, so it could all get a little complicated with as it stands as the weekend progresses. But we have done our best to see who is set for a place at the Matchplay, and who will have to play well this weekend to make the cut.

Dean Winstanley, Kyle Anderson, Andy Smith and Kevin Painter and Darren Webster will all need good weekends to make the Matchplay whilst young Rowby-John Rodriguez will be aiming for a fantastic weekend in Wigan, and he will need it if he is going to make the cut.

Raymond van Barneveld will not be taking part in either event this weekend, but his place in the top sixteen is pretty much secured, and Justin Pipe’s top sixteen place is also pretty much secured and can consolidate this with a good run here.

Here is the list of qualifiers for the World Matchplay at the end of July as it stands before the two Players Championship events in Wigan.
