BetVictor World Matchplay Participants Confirmed

After a dramatic Sunday in Players Championship 14, where Jelle Klaasen reigned victorious, the event marked the cut-off for qualification for the BetVictor World Matchplay, which begins on 18th July in Blackpool.

Following an excellent weekend, picking up £2,750 over the weekend, Kyle Anderson qualifies for the Matchplay, and Andy Hamilton had to rely on others as he snatched the last ProTour qualifying spot, and was given a scare by Rowby-John Rodriguez, who reached the semi-finals, and could have knocked Hamilton out of those qualifying spots if he had won the Sunday event.

Gary Anderson withdrew from the weekend’s events, and Phil Taylor defended his PDC OOM second spot after reaching the last sixteen on both Saturday and Sunday, and will be the second seed for the tournament that starts in little under two weeks.

Mark Webster started the weekend off in the ProTour qualifying spots, but was knocked out of those places by Kyle Anderson, who as mentioned earlier, had a brilliant weekend in Wigan. Here are the final thirty-two participants who will compete in Blackpool at the Winter Gardens in a couple of weeks.
