This years One Day Cup is set to start this Saturday and it should be a good tournament if last year is anything to go by.
This year, the tournament starts with current holders Durham travelling to Northamptonshire in group A, and last years runners-up Warwickshire travelling to Nottinghamshire in group B.
The rest of the teams play their first game on Sunday. Each team will play everybody in their group once, either home or away. In the group stages, the 18 teams have been split into two groups of nine teams and each team will play eight games. Each team will have a total of four home and away matches. The last round of group games will be played between the 17th and the 19th of August.
After that, the top four teams of each of the two groups will play in the quarter finals, which will be played during the final week in August. The four winners will play in the semi finals on the 6th/7th of September. The tournament will cumulate with the final at Lords on the 19th of September, where the overall winner will be decided.
