PDC World Grand Prix Qualification Update Ahead Of September Events

The PDC World Grand Prix is now under a month away, and the cut-off for the qualification of that tournament is just a few weeks away, and players will be looking to add prize money to their name in the ProTour and main Order Of Merits to secure their place in Dublin on 4th October, when the competition will begin.

Here are the current standings in both Order Of Merits. To confirm, the top sixteen in the main Order Of Merit will be joined by the top fourteen players in the ProTour Order Of Merit who do not appear in the top sixteen of the main Order Of Merit. Those thirty players will be joined by two ‘home’ qualifiers, who at this moment are likely to be Daryl Gurney and William O’Connor.

This Order Of Merit doesn’t include any money set to be deducted in September. Any money that the players win will be added to this total, regardless of what they are set to lose.

Raymond van Barneveld is hanging on in the top sixteen, and still has work to do to secure his place at the World Grand Prix. The Dutchman is set to attempt to qualify for European Darts Trophy at the weekend via the European Qualifiers. He is keenly being hunted down by Vincent van der Voort, Justin Pipe and Stephen Bunting, who are all within £10,000 of Barney. However, all three are set to qualify via the ProTour anyway, but breaking into the top sixteen would ensure they will appear as a seeded player.
