The Group B winner will finish off this group of 5 teams. They will join the West Indies, England, South Africa and Sri Lanka in the second round. This group holds the last 3 winners of the competition as England won it in 2010, West Indies won in 2012 and Sri Lanka won in 2014.
This group has a lot of talent in it and the team that comes in will find it hard to get out of this group. England have a good chance winning but with a 2-0 loss to South Africa in their last T20 series they could be low on confidence. However I would say South Africa to win the group and England to also get through.
Super 10’s Group 2
The Group A winner will finish off this group of 5 teams. They will join India, Pakistan, Australia and New Zealand. India(2007) and Sri Lanka(2009) have both won the competition before whilst Australia have come second and New Zealand fourth.
This is a tough group for the team that comes in from the first round and will lose most their matches. India has the host team advantage though the teams will already play in similar climate conditions and no host has won it before. India are top of the World Rankings but New Zealand are a hard team to beat. Australia have had bad form lately and so have Pakistan. New Zealand and India would be my tips to get through.
