Despite the season coming to an end for most sides across Europe, there is still a feast of football for the most dedicated of fans and The Sports Lowdown turns to the European Under-21 Championship’s in the Czech Republic and look at 10 Players to look out for.
1. Harry Kane
Tottenham striker Kane will go into the Euros on the back of a magnificent season for Tottenham. The Englishman found the net 31 times in total last season and earned himself a call-up to the senior England side, scoring less than a minute into his debut. Kane has also been prolific at under-21 level in the past, scoring 8 goals in ten appearances. If England are to have any chance of winning the trophy, they will need their star player to be in top goal scoring form.
2. Marc-Andre ter Stegen
Ter Stegen will go into the Euros a Champions League winner after helping Barcelona win the title. The German, who Barca signed for £12million last summer, is yet to play a league game for his club but appeared in all of his club’s Champions League matches last term. The German has already played four times for the German senior side and is rated as one of the best young keepers in Europe.
