European Tour Seeds And Schedule Announced

 

The seeds and the schedule for the European Tour in Venray have been confirmed ahead of the tournament, which begins on Thursday with the qualifying stages.

Phil Taylor and Adrian Lewis will not be appearing in the event after not appearing on the list of seeded payers or players qualifying from the UK Open, whilst Michael van Gerwen will be looking to retain his title in fourth European tour of the year.

MVG will begin as the number one seed whilst Michael Smith will take the second seed, with James Wade and Peter Wright making up the top four seeds.

The qualifying will begin on Thursday as eight European Qualifying matches will go ahead along with four Home Nation Qualifying games.

The first round proper will take place on Friday as the twenty that qualified from the UK Open will mix with Thursday’s qualifiers to play sixteen first round matches. The sixteen seeds will then enter the competition on Saturday in the second round.
